3 weeks in shop and they keep delaying getting my car fixed! keep on asking for different things. now new pictures of cyl walls why not send an adjuster there? what a disappointing company. if you want arbitration or litigation have to wait until they make determination which could take months. DONT BELIEVE THE CAR SHIELD COMMERCIALS. GO ELSEWHERE

I have a Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 that i purchased an extended warranty for with car shield. the plan i purchased was supposed to cover the engine and engine parts. i needed the oil cooler system replaced according to the Mercedes dealership. Needless to say, the American auto shield did not cover that part of the engine. Since when does a part of the engine that involves oil be not included in the main components of an engine warranty? both john and kelsie provide no assistance when i talked to them about not covering the engine part. car shield warranties SUCKdo not purchase from car shield

My name is Mike Kelly 601-502-**** i bought a $3193.00 diamond elite vehicle service contract paid in full from American shield and was told it would cover everything bumper to bumper except for tires light bulbs windshield wipers etc. i drive a turbo car and the oil line was leaking American Shield they were very sorry but that item was not covered by my contract. I guess it must be somewhere outside my bumper to bumper I a little over $400.00 yo have it fixed if your thinking about buying a service contract for your car read the reviews and run like ***

AAS will not reimburse you if you pay for your own repairs. DO NOT BELIEVE the review that stated they did. They will ONLY REIMBURSE car tows and or rentals if that. I believe all the good reviews noted is directly from American Auto Shield. They are the not worth the money.

-Car broke down 4 Dec 2020 -Towed to Auto Shop/American Auto Shield approved for diagnosis $750 -I'm now stuck with a $750 and towing fee of $200 and Storage Fees - I am on a fixed income and a 100% Disable Veteran -I did 3 tours overseas fighting for Americans Liberty's and for this car warranty to even exist and this is how "American Auto Shield" TREATED ME. American Auto Shield should be ashamed to the word American attach to their product. :Change it to SCAM THE DISABLE AUTO SHIELD -Auto Shop called American Auto Shield ob 8 Dec 2020 for an inspector and was informed by Derek K of Southwest Inspection his day does not start until 930am. It took more than 20 more times from the Auto Shop and 11 calls from me throughout the month of December to get someone to finally come out to inspect the car and of course the repairs was denied on 7 Jan 202. -American Auto Shield requested 12 months of maintenance records I proved 24 months of records as vast of my maintenance was performed at the Dodge Dealership (my vehicle is a 2009 Dodge Charge, so I normally go to the manufacturer dealership) -American Auto Shield stated via a short email the repair was denied for sludge in the engine. The Dodge Dealership Mechanic stated this is normal wear and tear for a vehicle this age, and he can tell the vehicle is well taken care of and the maintenance states how the oil changes were performed well with in the manufacture requirements. -Derek K for Southwest was very unprofessional and he and the Dodge Service Rep had so words prior to his arrival 26 days later to include contacting his supervisor, so his inspection denial is base on his problem with the Auto Shop not the vehicle maintenance. I have four vehicles with American Auto Shield. They will all be cancelled this month January 2021. Also, 7 of my church members will cancel their policy as well since one of them are experiencing the same issues with American Auto Shield. -We seeking to start a class action lawsuit against American Auto Shield as this SCAM needs to STOP

This consumer is totally right as a several members of my church purchased this warranty from Car Shield and each one has had issue with Car Shield when it came to repairs. DO NOT PURCHASE its a total SCAM

my transmission went out on my 2011 Acada I HAD CAR SHIELD INS THEY TAKE MONEY OUT OF MY CHECKING ACOUNT EVERY MONTH AND WON'T PAY ONE DIME ON MY CAR TO BE FIXED WE HAVE CALLED THEM AND SOME OF THEM TALK LIKE THEY WERE GOING TO HELP US AND WE SENT IN CLAIMS 3 TIMES STILL NO ONE HAS HELPED US OUR CAR HAS BEEN DOWN FOR A MONTH OUR GUY WE HAVE DOING REPAIRS ON OUR CAR HAS ALL SO CALLED THEM NO ONE WILL OFFER TO SEND A CHECK TO HELP US MY Huspand HAS CANCER THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE HAVE TO GET TO THE DRS. SO MY DAUGHTER MOVED IN WITH US TO HELP US OUT THESE PEOPLE THEY NEED TO CLOSE THE DOORS ON THEM THEY PAY PEOPLE TO LIE FOR THEM ON TV. THEY KNOW THERE NOT GOING TO HELP WITH NO CAR REPAIR i will never have no dealings with them again.

Am totally disgusted with Car Shield, this company is grossly inefficient, wait times to even get to speak to someone on the phone is THE WORST ever!! After waiting 1 hour and 13 minutes, I was told by a very apologetic individual, that there was NOTHING that can be done to expedite an assessor's examination, this after waiting TWO DAYS!!
Am now on the THIRD day, assessor has been, but "the system" is down!! Now I cannot get an update on when my vehicle will be authorized to be repaired!!!!
Maybe, tomorrow, the FOURTH day, something will happen??

I had the very same issue . My car has been in the shop for over a month and a half.

The customer service is extremely bad and none caring .I could not talk to a supervisor, I asked multiple times. Also asked for an email to a supervisor they would not give me one. They also did not give me a phone number to a supervisor. I called and emailed multiple times, I only got phone calls back from representatives that would field the calls .

I would asked to talk to someone higher, they said they would email them but could not give me the email address. Also I would asked for them to send me a confirmation they did not do so.

Car Shield and American Auto Sheild are two very horrible companies. Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car engine blew. They claim it was my fault. It was not. Their inspector said that addition work need to be done to determine the cause of the failure, so American Auto Shield's solution was to not pay for more research, just to deny the claim. They said was negligent even though my service records should have disproved that. The adjuster said that the people how made claim approval were also concerned because my vehicle was imported from Great Britain. The whole process of filing a claim and being denied was stressful and demeaning. It sounded as if they were trying to put the blame on me.

this claim is still in process. I have been unable for 3 days to get adjustor to call me back on it. I have made numerous calls back to get the adjustor back on the phone, or get some help so can complete customers car. I NEED SOME HELP, IS THERE ANY ONE THERE CAN HELP WITH THIS. Failure to pay claim

My AC condenser broke on my vehicle. I took it to an auto repair company and it was approved by Car Shield for the repair.

They even sent a new part. A few days after I picked up my car the repair shop called and said they had not received payment for the repairs. They had contacted Car Shield twice and were told the payment was being processed. After almost 2 weeks the repair shop called me and said they could not wait for payment any longer and charged me for the remaining costs minus the deductible.

I called Car Shield and was told they never received the invoice which was wrong because the repair shop had all the documentation showing it was transmitted to Car Shield. I then emailed a copy of the invoice to Car Shield with a read receipt requested which was acknowledged. After a few more weeks I called Car Shield again and the rep stated he was putting a rush on payment and that I should have the check in 10 business days. I have now emailed them twice, called 4 times and been on hold for over 45 minutes, requested a call back and no one responds.

If I were Chris Berman I would be very embarrassed representing a company that misleads their customers. Looking at filing a complaint with any and every organization I can find who handles these issues.
